Cross-platform with React Native
One React Native + TypeScript codebase shipping to iOS and Android, built on Expo with EAS for reproducible cloud builds. We reach for the New Architecture (Fabric/TurboModules) where it earns its keep and keep the JS bundle lean so cold start stays fast.
Native modules
Swift and Kotlin bridges when the platform demands it — camera, BLE, biometrics, secure enclave — behind a typed JS interface so the app code does not care which OS it is on. We drop to native only where React Native’s abstraction actually costs you performance.
Offline-first sync
Local persistence with a write-ahead queue and background sync that reconciles on reconnect, with conflict resolution you can reason about. The app stays usable underground; the server catches up when the signal does.
Push & deep links
Segmented push via APNs and FCM, in-app messaging and deep/universal links that route straight to the right screen. We wire the notification permission prompt to a real value moment, not the cold first launch, to protect opt-in rates.
Mobile backend & API
Node.js + Postgres backends shaped for mobile: compact payloads, cursor pagination and endpoints designed around screen needs, not table dumps. Auth uses short-lived tokens with refresh so a stolen device is not a standing liability.
Store release & OTA
We own the App Store Connect and Google Play submission — signing, metadata, review responses — and ship JS-only fixes over the air with EAS Update without waiting on review. Native changes go through the stores; everything else can be same-day.

Discovery
We define the core flows, target devices and OS floors, and the store requirements that quietly shape scope (permissions, privacy labels, background modes). You get a screen map and a build plan before design starts.

Design & prototyping
Interactive prototypes validate navigation and feel on real hardware early, because a flow that reads fine in Figma can feel wrong at 60fps in the hand. We settle gestures, transitions and empty states here, not in QA.
- 03
Build
Testable builds go out every sprint via TestFlight and Play internal tracks for hands-on feedback. We profile cold start, JS bundle size and list performance as we go, and gate PRs on typecheck, lint and tests.
- 04
Release & support
We submit to both stores, wire up crash reporting and analytics, and watch the crash-free-users rate after launch. Maintenance covers OS updates, store policy changes and a steady release cadence — OTA for JS, stores for native.

React Native or fully native?
